“I became a member of Rotary six years ago after a career in education. Membership of the club has enabled me to develop a wide range of interests in interesting company. For example I have been able to pursue international development by working with three local schools on projects in Africa. The club is also involved in several other activities with secondary and primary schools - debates, careers interviews, improving the environment and monitoring the weather. By contrast I was in the group that planted the Korean bed at the Botanical Gardens and each Christmas we collect huge numbers of shoe boxes as part of Operation Christmas Child. There is no pressure to do everything and members tailor involvement to suit their own interests and circumstances. I strongly recommend that you investigate this site.
